Huber was always left unprotected in the waiver draft. Years after his retirement. That was always funny.
Wish they brought back the waiver draft. |

It's the first semi-realistic trade scenario I've seen posted on here tho lol

I would have believed if Stayin Alive posted it
I actually do know a few people in Chicago…
However none of them even remotely associated with or know anyone around blackhawks org. |

Maybe the kid will be a stud. I just have an aversion to late risers or whatever you want to call them. I’d rather stay with the solid pick who’s been ranked similarly all year. - ShadowsX42
Then you would have missed out on Cale Makar and Moritz Seider, because they didn't punch into the top-15 until a few weeks before draft day.
(IIRC, Makar wasn't even on anybody's radar before his draft season) |

Makar with 28 goals for 86 points in his third season to win the Norris. Like nobody is predicting that. Nobody! The bickering is unreal as if Hextall or anyone else should have knew.
Remember in 2010 when Mike Green managed to beat Chris Pronger for a Norris nomination in Pronger’s third best season of his career? Go look at Green’s overall career. Not remotely impressive to the standards placed upon him.
My point. A lot to live up to for Makar after this season. |

Pretty poor comparison, green was more of a one trick pony with his offense while Makar is a very complete player. No doubt in my mind that Makar will have much more success to come. |

I didn’t see anything impressive about Makar’s defense in the final, mind you I haven’t seen a lot of Makar prior to the final. With this said, if he can keep up 28 goals for 86 points every season, god bless. Colorado has hit pay dirt. |

He's an excellent two-way player.
And he's not a one hit wonder. Second in Norris voting last season. 9th in his rookie year.
28-goals might not be a yearly thing, but the kid has been nothing short of elite since stepping into the league. |

I hope this is this case. These types of players are good for the game. All I’m saying is, I thought Makar sucked in Game 3 of the final. Granted that’s one game against the champs the passed two seasons, it was hard to read how well rounded his game is when he’s scoring hat tricks. |

Someone is gonna have to define “got good again” when talking about Ghost. Provorov isn’t good for only putting up a 41 point season in his career, which the same as Ryan Ellis who is claimed to be better. Take away this season, Ghost had two really impressive seasons with the Flyers in six seasons of being here. |

So would that have been four games had he given them the finger with both hands? |

Nobody ever said Provy wasn't good, he's just not a legit #1 dman. Most people would agree with that stance by now. If you don't, I'm sure you'll come around eventually because it's the truth.
Ellis is better than Provy, but it's got nothing to do w/ points. He's better defensively, more sound with the puck, a better transition player and a better PP QB. Provy's a better ozone attacker and goal scorer. Of course Ellis can't stay healthy, so maybe it doesn't even matter. |

I got news for most. Longevity and health creates a better player and Provorov is both of those things in comparison to Ellis. Not to mention Provorov has never played behind anyone his entire career, which Ellis always has. Ellis has always had better defensive support in Nashville. Get Provorov a partner. Desjardins had like two partners his entire career. |

Any of you watch the “WHATS WRONG WITH THE FLYERS ft Chris Therien”?
He gets into his opinion obviously of what’s wrong with the Flyers, only half of the majority will agree with. Like he thinks Alumni should be around and physical hockey is what sold hockey (I agree). Where most of you will agree is, the organization has become corporate and seem to have no idea of the history of the Flyers and just expect fans to adjust (which sounds terrible).
I especially love the end, how Bob Clarke laid into him back in 99 during a 12 game losing streak and a story of LeClair poking fun of Pavel Brendl. Pretty classic poop. |

I'll have to check that out. I agree that physical hockey sold hockey....just watch old clips on youtube and it is obvious. The Spectrum was always rocking and then as the years went on, Wells Fargo games became more corporate. I haven't been there in a few years, but last time, it was a bunch of suits on their phones. Anyone I know who has been there in recent years only went bc of a work outing. They could care less about the Flyers.
As for Therien, I liked him as a broadcaster but never liked him as a player. He has room to talk about physical hockey...big guy who aside from playing Jagr, played like a wuss most of his years here.

I guess Clarke laid into like 5 guys in the locker room after a game and Therien was hiding next to Rico looking to miss the rampage. Clarke looks over at Therien and says “and you Bundy, poor Desjardins has to play with you every night”. Just a classic rip. |

If Cooley is on the board when the Flyers pick 5th they need to take him. He would give this team what it desperately needs(speed and skill at the forward position). Thanks! |

You better make sure you’re at that draft table July 7th. The Flyers might fumble something so obvious without your help. |

Makar wasn’t even on anyones Radar???? That’s just incorrect. More Hexy loving nonsense. 27 had scouts on his own staff begging for Makar and there were other teams who ranked him number one including the Canucks. Had Hexy just listened to his people for once the entire nhl dynamic w Makar going to Philly would have been different.
From Trevor Lindon:
Trevor Linden caused mini-headlines following the Pettersson pick when he said in a Sekeres and Price interview that the Canucks would have passed on both Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier — the industry consensus top-two prospects — if they had the No. 1 pick.
In reality, Cale Makar was ranked No. 1 on Vancouver’s final draft board. Pettersson was right behind him at No. 2.
